Tuition

The school term begins September 1st, 2024 and continues through the month of May, 2025. 

This is the monthly average of 34 lessons during the school year. 

Tuition is payable by cash or check. 

Payment is due at your child's last lesson of each month.

A 30 minute lesson is $25 and a 45 minute lesson is $35.50. 

The monthly tuition fee is $94 for 30 minute lessons and $134 for 45 minute lessons.   

You will receive a monthly text statement the 3rd week of every month.

This will include any music that I have ordered or downloaded for your child.

Many times the music is available at a minimal cost, as I have a large stock of special music that I can print for your student.

There are 39 weeks in the school term minus the following holidays making the total number of lessons 34 for this year:

2024-2025 HOLIDAY/BREAK SCHEDULE

Fall Break, October 30 - November 6, 2024

Thanksgiving Break, November 25-28, 2024

Christmas Break, December 23, 2024 - January 2, 2025

Spring Break, TBD

If your school's Spring Break falls on another week, you will still take this week off, plus your school's break week. You will also be excused for your child's Spring Break.

Other one-day holidays which fall during the school year will be subtracted from the monthly tuition, as needed. 

If I take an additional week off to visit family, that week will be subtracted from that month's tuition. 

SUMMER TERM

Summer term is June-August and is charged per lesson, payable weekly or monthly.

The time scheduled for your student's lesson is reserved for his or her exclusive use. Credit is not given for missed lessons. 

A student who chooses another activity (social event, sports practice, play practice, etc.) instead of his or her scheduled piano lesson will not be excused. 

Makeup lessons will be offered only as time allows. 

If your child is sick, please do not bring them to piano!

Let them stay home and rest. 

We have 2 options: a makeup lesson or a virtual lesson. 

If you are uncomfortable driving in inclement weather, the lesson will be rescheduled. 

In addition to our regular lessons, I'm thrilled to announce a series of piano performance opportunties that will be an intrinsic part of our piano program this year. 

These events provide your children a chance to showcase their musical progress, build confidence, and share their talent with friends and family. It helps them develop performance skills, learn to mange stage nerves, and enhance their overall musicianship.

Acoustic piano or electronic keyboard should be in good repair. If acoustic, it should be tuned once a year. An assignment book and metronome are highly recommended. The parent is also to provide a chair or a bench at a correct height and adequate lighting in a location allowing uninterrupted practice.
